Eriksson Software is seeking a mid-level structural engineer with precast/prestressed concrete design experience to join our team. We are a Tampa-based structural engineering software development company with a specialization in plant-cast precast/prestressed concrete design and detailing. We develop, license, and support application software for the commercial, highway bridge, buried, and industrial structures markets. In recent years, we have greatly expanded our support of BIM-based workflows with AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities

·Perform structural analysis and design calculations for precast and prestressed concrete members, connections, and systems

·Research and track changes in concrete design codes (AASHTO LRFD, ACI 318/319) and assess their impact on software functionality

·Review and interpret contract documents, design standards, and technical specifications relevant to precast concrete design

·Attend and participate in applicable industry committee meetings through PCI, AASHTO, and related organizations, with a path toward active committee membership and/or support.


Qualifications


Required:

·Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis

·Working familiarity with AASHTO LRFD, ACI 318, or ACI 319

·Proficiency in at least one FEM analysis platform


Preferred: 

·2–5 years of engineering design experience

·Significant AI-assisted work experience

·PE licensure (or actively pursuing; we’ll help you attain it)

·Experience with Mathcad or similar

·Coursework or hands-on experience in prestressed concrete design

·Familiarity with PCI, IBC, or ASCE 7 standards

·$100K–$125K annually, based on experience
